Chemical peels come in various strengths and acid formulations, ranging from superficial to deeper peels.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"faq-item\">\n  <h2>Am I a good candidate?<\/h2>\n  <p>The type of chemical peel used depends on skin condition, skin tone, risk of burns, and the patient\u2019s skincare habits. A consultation with one of our expert medical technicians is recommended to determine the most suitable peel for your specific skin type. Different peel options may be offered depending on the desired results.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"faq-item\">\n  <h2>What types of chemical peels are available at your clinic?<\/h2>\n  <p>For various treatment options, Clinique DHD offers different types of peels:\n\nGlycolic peels (the most common alpha-hydroxy acid peels) \u2013 provide light to moderate exfoliation to help improve hyperpigmentation and melasma, skin texture, and minimize pore size. By removing dead skin cells, product penetration is also improved. This peel can benefit all skin types but is ideal for oily skin.  \nSalicylic acid (beta-hydroxy acid) \u2013 helps unclog pores filled with sebum and dead cells. It has strong anti-inflammatory effects that can reduce acne-related inflammation, redness, and swelling. Additionally, this peel helps improve melasma and pigmentation.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"faq-item\">\n  <h2>Is there any pain or downtime?<\/h2>\n  <p>Glycolic and salicylic acid peels are generally considered \u201clunch-time peels\u201d with little to no downtime. Mild discomfort may occur but subsides quickly. A fan providing cool air may be given to the client during the peel to help alleviate the sunburn-like sensation some clients feel.
